Hemant Chaturvedi, (b.1968) was a cinematography in the Mumbai film industry for over three decades when he decided to quit motion picture photography and concentrate on still photography, traveling and writing.

He worked on over 15 full length feature films (Maqbool, Company, 15 Park Avenue, Kurbaan, Ishaqzaade being a few of them) and well over 750 commercials, music videos and short films.

In the last three years he has been working on a wide array of photography projects, ranging from Dhrupad Music Gurukuls, The Salt Desert of Kutch, and Abandoned Cinema Theatres.

He spent the last 7 months of 2018 working on a huge project for his Alma Mater, St.Xavier’s College, Mumbai which includes a highly acclaimed portraiture project of retired Jesuits, teachers and staff, and produced, published and photographed the 150th year commemorative calendar, which, in its limited edition of 500 copies, received fabulous reviews and sold rapidly.

He has another three projects for 2019/20 which have begun or are in the research stage.
Hemant only works for himself and on self-financed and self-initiated projects and has been associated with Wonderwall since 2018.
